- Output voltage: 0-350V; 0 – 400V (optional)
- Broad current output: 45kVA reaches 300A, 35% higher than the previous generation
- Single-phase, gradient or split-phase output (up to ±1130VDC)
- Constant operating modes: constant voltage, constant current and constant power
- Arbitrary wave simulation and support for harmonic disturbance/harmonic waveform synthesis output
- External control function (DB25 interface, supports analog and digital output and input)
- Comply with grid connection tests such as low voltage ride through (LVRT), phase-to-phase, frequency-to-phase, harmonic injection, etc.
Solution example:
- Electric vehicle AC and DC charging piles, two-way on-board charger (BOBC)
- V2G, V2H, V2X and electric vehicle charging cables and peripherals
- Solar photovoltaic inverters, grid-connected inverters, wind energy systems
- Industrial and household storage systems ESS, power conversion systems PCS
01.
Full four-quadrant power grid simulation
The RPS-5000G is a full four-quadrant energy recovery AC/DC power supply that functions as a regnerative power source or electronic load. It supports bidirectional power integration for microgrid applications, energy conversion, and storage systems. By simulating grid characteristics, it enables precise testing of photovoltaic inverters, PCS, ESS, and other systems requiring bidirectional feedback, while feeding power back to the grid. This reduces energy consumption and cooling costs, improving efficiency and sustainability.

02.
Constant Power
The RPS-5000G features advanced SiC MOS technology, supporting up to 400VL-N and 690VL-L for high-voltage applications like wind power testing. With constant power output, it delivers higher current at low voltage and lower current at high voltage without interruptions from gear switching, ensuring adaptability to real-world needs. Though its power density is lower than the rack-mounted RPS-7000, the RPS-5000G offers a more stable floor-standing design, 50% smaller than typical systems. It increases low-voltage current output by 40%, covering broader testing requirements. Supporting AC, DC, and AC+DC functions, it enables full 100% power output in DC mode, outperforming systems limited to 50% in similar scenarios.

03.
Three-phase, single-phase and split-phase output
The RPS-5000 supports simultaneous AC and DC operation per phase, with automatic mode switching for exceptional flexibility. It offers AC, DC, and AC+DC output configurations for single-phase, split-phase, three-phase, and multi-channel applications, with optional isolated neutral points. With a maximum of 990/1130 VDC (optional) and independent voltage settings in split-phase mode, it accommodates specialized applications like dual live wire testing.

04
PHIL Simulation and Digital Simulation
The RPS-5000G features an integrated test system with standard analog and digital I/O (EXT IO) functions, allowing users to assign parameters via SCPI for highly customized operations. It supports complex testing workstations, with analog I/O for diverse test scenarios and digital I/O for system control and automation, enabling seamless hardware integration.
In power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) applications, the RPS-5000G acts as a fast-response amplifier. Its high-speed analog interface ensures real-time control of electrical parameters (voltage, current, frequency, waveform) and provides precise closed-loop control by capturing and feeding back output signals. Ideal for dynamic grid testing, EV system testing, and renewable energy applications.

05.
Advanced waveform editing & harmonic analysis
The RPS5000 series offers advanced and flexible output capabilities to meet complex application needs. Beyond basic outputs, it includes Inter-Harmonic, List, and Transient modes, with a built-in oscilloscope for waveform simulation and analysis. Each phase can be independently configured, supporting standards like IEC-61000-4-3, IEC-61000-4-11, UL-1741SA, IEEE-1547, and IEC-62116.

06.
Output low ripple output
During power system testing, voltage ripples can cause power losses and overheating, impacting product quality and durability. For example, in EV on-board charger (OBC) testing, low iTHD and voltage ripple are critical. The RPS-5000 series offers a ripple of less than 0.6Vrms, significantly outperforming the 2Vrms of standard products, ensuring more accurate and reliable test results for customers.
